Mowing with dull blades can make a healthy lawn look diseased or dry. A dull mower blade will tear the grass blades, and leave a frayed edge that looks white or brown. Your lawn could be perfectly watered and fertilized, but if your blade is dull, the whole yard will have a dull appearance. Mowing with sharp mower blades is ideal.
